Sam Darke has been in touch to update us all on his Mk1 Escort van!! 😃
The body work is now finished and it has had all the internal parts painted!
The outside has only been primered so far, but I think it's awesome that the primer is also blue so we can all get an idea of how the van will look once the exterior has been finished.
The van used to be red and with me being a postman in my day job, I am sorry to see the old colour go BUT the new colour ('Nitrous Blue' from the Mk3 Focus RS) does look amazing and suits the van perfectly!
Sam can now start the process of building the van up and as Iv mentioned before, the future plans include a Zetec lump on Jenvey individual throttle bodies and a Quaife Pro Type 9 gearbox, meaning this van will have plenty of 'go' AND 'show!
