The LHD metallic blue 4 door Mk2 Escort is still running its Crossflow engine and has an immaculate, original interior. Hiding behind the dashboard tho, is an electric power steering kit. The car has adjustable coil over front suspension, and the German rear axle has been replaced for an English item. The axle has also been narrowed so that Rick can run the 7J Minilite alloys with 185/60/13 Yokohama Advan AO48 semi slick tyres.
The other cars in the collection are unfortunately sitting collecting dust but its still nice to have a look.
The blue 2 door Mk2 Escort looks like a very tasty build. The bonnet pins and plastic sliding door windows give a hint that it has been built with performance in mind. With an ST170 lump in the engine bay which is fuelled by a set of Jenvey individual throttle bodies, and cooled by a nice alloy radiator. This car needs a session on the dyno before it can be enjoyed properly. In the interior I can see a proper roll cage which has been gusseted into the pillars, alloy door cards, bucket seats and harnesses, a rally style switch panel and an RS steering wheel. Im a big fan of rally style boot builds and this Escort doesn't disappoint. With a alloy fuel tank and filler neck, a swirl pot, a re-located battery, and a nicely mounted fuel pump and filter setup.
