Michael Stead has sent in these pics of his Mk2 Escort! 😃

Michael actually restored this car himself and as you can see he has done an EPIC job. Its mint outside, inside and underneath, and Im loving the stickers on the rear quarter panels, and the numbers on the doors. The sun strip on the front windscreen brings back some memories for me, when I first bought 'Esther' my MK1 Escort in 2004, I bought alot of parts form Escort Developments. I wonder if they are still trading??
The engine in the bay is a 2.1 Pinto which is running on carbs from a 'Blackbird' motorbike, and bolted behind it is a 4 speed gearbox. The power is sent to the wheels via a 4.4:1 ratio differential.
With single leaf springs and group 1 rear shocks on the rear, and Bilstein coil-overs on the front, this Escort features all the tried and tested suspension parts that make a properly fun, useable car.
The car is sitting on a set of Minilite alloys which always look amazing on an Escort and they fill the stock arches nicely.
The interior is defo my kind of cockpit! With bucket seats and harnesses, a rally style alloy centre switch panel, alloy footrests and even a cheeky fire extinguisher by the passenger seat.
This Mk2 is pukka! And a credit to Michael. Thanks so much for getting in touch mate! 👍
