After selling a load of surplus spare parts on Ebay that Mark had lying around, he started searching for a Mk2 Escort and found this 2 owner 1300L that had been sitting for about 8 years.
Kejja Motorsport Ltd carried out a few jobs to get the car roadworthy again before Mark and Emma could drive it home about a week ago. Since then Mark and Emma have already changed the wheels for some deep dish Minilte alloys, fitted -2 inch front springs and fitted some 1.5 inch lowering blocks on the rear end.
Emma has been studying mechanical stuff at college and is a proper petrol head, with a bedroom littered with car banners, model cars, and the set of 13 inch steel wheels that were originally fitted to the Mk2. She has only been driving for around a year, and is more into JDM cars, having a Subaru Imprezza as her first car, She is now fast becoming a classic Ford fan too tho, and some of her friends own classic Fords so the scene is strong in her local area.
Future plans for the Escort include a sportex exhaust system, and Mark is keeping his eye out for a Zetec powered donor car to eventually give the car a heart transplant.
