I recently met back up with my good friend Leigh Booth, who since my last visit has got his kit car back on the road. It was originally hand built by his Dad Kevin in his shed (and the kitchen) and pushes out 300bhp thanks to the Zetec turbo lump in the engine bay! 👍
Leigh took me for a exciting joyride in the machine (dubbed 'Swallow TI') and it was like nothing I have ever experienced before. The harnesses were flapping in the wind and I nearly lost my hat, but all three of us made it back to base in one piece! 👍
Before all that madness though, Leigh very kindly utilised his awesome fabrication skills to make some necessary modifications to the stainless exhaust system I recently removed from 'Esther' my ST170 powered Mk1 Escort. He also gave me yet more parts for 'Maude' my moredoor Escort! 👍
