Jon Larkin (@jonlarkin1976 on Instagram) has sent in these pics of his Mk1 Escort estate! 😃

As you can see this thing is MINT after receiving a full nut and bolt restoration, which included fitting a set of genuine Ford Mexico wings, and a full respray in '69 Ford Blue'.
The car is sitting on a set of 13 x 7 inch steel wheels, which have been fitted with a set of early Mk1 Escort hubcaps.
With group 4 Bilstein front suspension, and decambered leaf springs and GAZ Shocks at the rear Im sure this 'long roof' handles well, and it needs to with a Cosworth YB lump in the bay! 😃
The engine is putting out around 330 bhp, thanks to a T3 turbo, green injectors, a -31 actuator, a 3 bar map sensor and a 3 inch, single box stainless exhaust system.
Power is delivered to the road via a T5 Cosworth gearbox and an 'atlas' rear axle.
Jon recently fitted a roll cage to the car and not everybody approved, but he likes it and so do I.
His favourite modification so far though, is the smoothed locks and central locking which I think is a really cool modern touch.
The interior is really smart with a Springalex steering wheel and a set of Mk2 Escort RS2000 fishnet Recaro front seats. The rear seat is still present and has been re-trimmed to match the fronts.
Jon is planning to turn the boost up eventually in a quest for even more power and he is currently building a larger radiator and intercooler to suit.
With plenty of show, tons of go AND space in the back for endless amounts of shopping (or tyres and tools! 😃), this must be one of the best estate Escorts out there. Thanks for sharing the car with us all Jon! 👍
