Yes its a Vauxhall and my car shares are usually reserved for old skool Fords BUT this Viva has a 2.0 Zetec lump in the engine bay.
I'll let Jason tell us all about the car:
'1965 Vauxhall ha viva. I bought the car in 2014 and it wasn’t running. It had been originally built by insane creations. It had been living in a field for over 20 years and was rotted out when they bought it. New floors were welded in and a Ford 2.0 Dohc from a sierra was fitted. It has a mk2 English axle in the rear and a fabricated cross member. It has a half roll cage, bucket seats and a stripped out interior.
I bought the car and it hadn’t run for three years.
I got the car running it had some issues with the front suspension so fitted some wildwood discs and 4 pot callipers and made some tubular control arms and sorted out the steering geometry. I also fitted the poly carbonate windows and the ally door cards, floor mounted pedal box, quick release steering wheel and a few other bits and pieces.
I could never get the engine to run that well so I decided to fit a Zetec after watching one of your videos and was quite impressed with the performance of Maude!
Its is a 2.0 black top the gear box is a mt75 which I have converted to hydraulic which was originally fitted with tp sierra engine. I believe the carbs are from a Yamaha r6 and I have a nodiz ignition module to run it. Hopefully will have it on the road in January.
