"Just wanted to share some images of the classic car I’ve owned for 17 years, a 1977 Ford Capri Mk2 3.0 S.
My first car at 17 was a Ford Capri Mk2 and I was immediately smitten.
I loved the design & styling of the Ford Capri and continued to purchase various models throughout my youth (1.6, 3.0, 2.8i etc).
But it was the hairy-chested 3.0 V6 which I found to be most fun with a raw, visceral sound & bucket loads of live-axle torque to help focus the mind of a spirited driver.
In 2003, I came across this 3.0 Mk2 on eBay and knew I had to have it.
The rarity of the Mk2 (as opposed to the Mk3 at the time) and the blunted front-end with squared-off headlights gave it more of a bulldog stance, which to me, made this particular model the pinnacle of Capri ownership.
Sadly the car will go to auction later this month, so I wanted to celebrate my ownership with a few clumsy words & awe-inspiring pictures - and to thank this design icon for making my soul smile with every drive.

Historic vehicle status - MoT & Tax exempt
(Although does have current MoT until October 2021)
Only used in summer months before being dry-stored for a number of years.
Recently re-commissioned this summer.
