This Mk2 is currently at @ Clumpfab with fabrication genius Chris Kember, who is deleting the very little amount of rust the car had and adding some RS strengthening pieces. Recently Glenn and Chris fitted the Zetec engine and the Type 9 gearbox into the car for mock up purposes. Chris can now accurately reposition the gearstick hole and the gearbox mounts to suit the Type 9.
This is an amazingly solid Mk2 Escort shell and thankfully it's in very talented hands with Chris @ Clumpfab.
