Check out this V8 powered Mk2 Granada Ghia X that belongs to Gary Cooper! 😃
It was actually Gary's son Max (@maxcooper07 on Instagram) who first told me about the car and I'll let Gary tell us all about it in his own words:
"I bought the car around 10yrs ago it was a totally standard ghia X a couple months after that I decided to do an engine swap as my friend had a 3.9 v8 out off a discovery lying about. I stripped the car down and fitted a high lift piper race cam and I had the flywheel lightened and balanced. To fit the v8 in the engine bay I handmade engine mounts I also put a rover SD1 5 speed gearboxes which I had to make mounts for that. As well as that I had to shorten the gear selector to put inside. The car has been polybushed all around and she has been slammed approximately 60mm and repainted. After using for a couple of years me and my son Max are midway upgrading the cooling system and a all black interior. So hopefully she will be back on the road in the spring."
