GARRY PHILLIPS' ST170 RWD MK1 FIESTA PROJECT! 😃

Check out this EPIC 1981 Mk1 Fiesta project that belongs to Garry Phillips! 😃
Garry has owned the car for 7 years now and it's defo not your everyday Mk1 Fiesta by any means! I'm a big fan of cars that upset the anoraks and I think this one will defo raise a few eyebrows!
Garry has converted the Fez to RWD and the engine in the bay is an ST170 lump which has been mounted onto a 2WD Sierra Cosworth crossmember and utilises the Cossie steering rack also. The gearbox is a trusty MT75.
As you can see the car has some super wide RS style alloys fitted which fill the wide arches nicely and is that a MK2 Escort boot spoiler I see fitted to the tailgate???
There are so many clever suspension and drive train modifications throughout this build including: (check out my Facebook page for more pics www.facebook.com/marcushayesford)
FRONT:
Custom track control arms and a compression strut kit fully rose-jointed, 4x4 Cossie coil-over front struts which have been converted to 2WD.
REAR:
Cossie 4x4 rear diff and drive shafts mounted onto a narrowed subframe,
Mk5 Escort RS2000 FRONT coil-over struts fitted to the rear of the car,
Custom rose-jointed and polybushed swing arms.
One thing about this Fez that may upset the anoraks the most is the fact that Garry has fitted an air ride kit! This means Garry can benefit from an EPIC stance AND keep the car drivable when its on the road!
This is such an interesting build and I hope Garry will keep us all posted with the future progress! 👍
