Faizel from Port Elizabeth in South Africa, has sent in these pics of his Mk1 Escort! 😃
The car is a 1600 GT and it looks to be in very good condition, although Faizel is going to be restoring it.
The Minilite allloy wheels (which wheels look amazing), and the bonnet pins hint that this Escort has been treated to some upgrades during it's life.
As you can see the 1600 Crossflow engine has been fitted with a set of side draught carburettors and a 4 branch exhaust manifold, and Faizel tells me the lump is very strong. The chrome rocker cover adds a bit of bling to the bay and there is a very 'interesting' eeerm?? 'floral' sticker on the heater bubble! 😃
Faizel plans to fit a Zetec engine at some point in the future, which are a bit hard to come by where he lives and I hope he will keep us all updated with the build!
