Dave Pearson has been in touch to tell us all the latest about his Mk2 Escort! 😃
It's been just over a year since I last shared Dave's Vauxhall powered moredoor and he is obviously still loving owning it.
He has made a few changes since he acquired it including giving the engine bay a freshen up with a set of red coolant hoses, red ignition leads which tie in nicely with the red spark plug cover.
Dave also recently fitted a set of Bilstein rear shock absorbers and will soon be switching the 1.5 inch lowering blocks out for a set of 1 inch items to prevent the tyres rubbing on the arches.
Another job on the list is to remove the fuel tank to cure a leaking sender breather pipe, and a set of Princess 4 pot front brake calipers will be fitted to the car at some point too.
Dave is having a bit of an issue with his headlights. The n/s one was a bit dim and now after replacing the connectors and checking the fuses etc the o/s one is dim?? Feel free to comment below your suggestions on how to fix it.
This is such a cool Mk2 and despite the awesome spec that it already had, its great to see Dave improving on things even further.
