This orange Mk1 has only just been put back on the road and Colin recently spent around 100 hours sorting out the interior which I LOVE! It's certainly a very busy cockpit with a rally style twin pod dash board, a 'Springalex' steering wheel, rally switch panel, co-driver's map reading light, and even a cheeky fire extinguisher tucked under the front of the passenger bucket seat.
The rally theme is continued on the exterior with the 2 up 2 down Cibie spotlights on the front. The black bumpers and fully black grill defo look cool against the orange paintwork, and you just cant go wrong with a set of Minilite alloy wheels!
This Mk1 currently has a crossflow lump in the bay running on a twin-choke Weber carburettor, but that is about to change very soon.
Colin has not 1 BUT TWO twin cam engines to choose from! He has decided to fit the more lairy of the two which is the 'Vengatune' one and admits this is partly because it will make 'the best bwaaarp' 😃
