I recently went to visit Ben who owns a 340 bhp Cosworth YB powered Mk5 Cortina that we have seen on the channel before, when he beat me and 'Maude' my moredoor Mk2 Escort down the quarter mile @ Santa Pod Raceway at The Ford Show in July.
Ben also showed us round part of the fleet of Cortinas that he and his Dad Paul owns, including Bens n/a Pinto powered Mk5, and Paul's 340 bhp Pinto turbo powered Mk3 & his Zetec powered Mk3 'backie' pick up truck.
Ben talked us through the stories of all the cars, including the FIRE that nearly killed the Mk3 off, and he had a few engines to show us too.
After all that Ben very kindly let me experience his Cossie Mk5 from the passenger seat on a joyride in 'Mexico' 🇲🇽
