Ben Alderton recently dropped me an email to show us all the fleet of old skool Fords that him amd his Dad Kevin Alderton own! 😃
The 100E was black and red when Ben bought it but during the lockdown he has been making some changes. The car has been completely stripped and re-painted red, and now has a new set of wheels. The 2.0 Pinto engine has now also been fitted with a set of twin 40 DCOE carburettors.
The orange 4 door Mk1 Escort is also Ben's and he does plan to take it off the road and restore it, but he wants to enjoy it this summer first. With a 2.0 Zetec lump in the engine bay fitted with motorbike carburettors, theres plenty of fun to be had. Ben has made one change to the car already, the deep dish Revolution alloys which look amazing!
Ben also owns a P100 which is fitted with a Saab 900 turbo engine. This is currently having the bodywork done and will be getting a full respray.
Onto Ben' Dad Kevin Alderton's fleet.
The 2 door yellow Mk1 Escort is currently having a few little jobs done but should be ready for this summer. In the engine bay is a 2.1 Pinto lump running on twin 45 Weber Carburettors.
Kevin's 2 door Mk3 Cortina was in a right state when he picked it up and needed plenty of new panels which were welded in by D and S Hamilton. Once that was done the car was fully restored and resprayed red and Kevin fitted a 2.0 Pinto engine. As you can see in the pics the car has seen some action at Santa Pod too (credit to Mk1 Keiren for the pic)
Kevin has also just acquired a beautiful Mk2 Granada 2.8 which he hasn't even driven yet!
What an awesome fleet of old skool Fords! Something tells me there will be more additions at some point in the future too!
