Congratulations to Steve Boother who bagged a 2nd place finish in last weekends 750 Formula race at Cadwell Park!! 🏆 🏁
Steve drives a Darvi Mk5B in the Championship, running a Fiat 1108cc engine (bored to the regulation maximum of +60 thou) with a control cam. A Quaife sequential 4 speed gearbox sends the power to a BMC rear axle with race drive shafts. Steve's setup made 108 bhp on the dyno, and with the car and driver weighing a combined 496 kgs, thats equates to an impressive power to weight ratio. As you can see these cars have plenty of aero front and rear, and every car in the series is fitted with Hankook racing slick tyres.
The 750 Formula is the oldest continually running race series in the world (its been around 1 year longer than Formula 1) and the ethos behind it is low cost for maximum fun! 🤪
Their are 12 races in the championship each year, with 2 races at each of the 6 tracks. So far this year they have raced at Donington, Silverstone, Anglesey and Cadwell Park, and they have Snetterton and Mallory Park still to go.
