Happy Sunday people!! 👍 Fabrication genius Chris Kember @ Clumpfab has started work on my latest more-door Mk2 Escort project, and has been in touch with an update! 😃
The passenger side inner wing (which is the BEST side) was hiding waaay more rust than we first thought but it was no match for Chris' talents.
Chris needed to cut the bottom of the strut towers away to gain enough access to the rusty area, which was then all cut out. Inside the chassis leg was then rust treated and primered, before the fabricated inner wing piece was welded on. The missing strut tower pieces were then replaced by some RS strengthening pieces I had purchased.
I am so glad the car is in such good hands @ Clumpfab and I cant wait for the next update (which I will of course share with you all)
