The passenger side front door of the more-door was basically scrap! Not only were there a few rust patches to sort but the top of the skin is going to need some serious attention!
It is now thankfully rust free though thanks to some very clever rust repair by Chris Kember @ Clumpfab!
He carefully cut out the rust in the 2 bottom corners of the outer skin, and grafted in repair patches that he fabricated himself. There was also a split at the top of the skin at the front which Chris has carefully plugged with weld.
The trickiest bit of rust in the door though, was near the top hinge. In an ideal world Chris would have preferred to remove the skin to repair it properly but his bit wont be seen with the wings on anyway, so he managed to cut out the rot and weld a patch in without removing the skin.
I have now collected the car from Clumpfab (video coming very soon! 👍) and I am over the moon with the work Chris has done! He really is a fabrication genius and his positive attitude to his work is hard to find nowadays!
