Recently Sam and Alan Microblast Services helped me out with some more bits for 'Heidi' my hearing aid beige Mk2 Escort, but this time they used some other processes that they are able to offer.
'Heidi's very rusty exhaust manifold (see pic 3) was treated to their Cerakote, which is a super durable wet paint product that is extremely heat resistant. We opted for a black finish, but other colours are available.
'Heidi's cast alloy inlet manifold was in a right state when I dropped it off (see pic 4) to MicroBlast Services. It was covered in dirt that was ingrained into the rough surface and there were quite a few spots that had corroded. The guys bead blasted the manifold to remove all the dirt, and then used a DA sander to carefully remove any remaining corrosion, before bead blasting it a 2nd time to give the manifold a uniform textured finish. They even managed to preserve the original part numbers etc.
