HAPPY SUNDAY PEOPLE!! 😀
Last night’s boxing was an unreal experience… but my fight ended prematurely in disaster ❌
My opponent Harrison suffered a dislocated shoulder in the first round 🙁
Technically I got the win 🏆
…but I’m not counting it ❌
I’d sparred Harrison a few times during camp and it was always a proper challenge. We were very evenly matched and it was shaping up to be a great fight.
He’s definitely the more technical boxer with experience and youth on his side…
I’d like to think I make up for that with stubbornness and a solid gas tank ⛽️😅
My only real game plan was to weather the storm in the first round, and then get to work properly as Harrison got tired (this worked well in our sparring sessions)
But the reality is… we didn’t even get going. The fight was stopped before anything really happened 👎
I’m gutted, no point pretending otherwise…
but that’s just ego talking.
The most important thing is Harrison gets that shoulder sorted 💪
On the positive side… we raised some serious money for charity!! 💷
