Last week I took 'Esther' my ST170 powered Mk1 Escort back to Surrey Rolling Road to see tuning genius Chris Todd, to see if we could make any more power now that she has the A.L Developments cylinder head fitted! 👍
Once Chris had worked his magic 'Esther' was running perfectly again and altho I didn't see the gains I was expecting (which were all based on figures taken from the internet on a different car at a different dyno) GAINS WERE MADE all throughout the rev range. The next stage of development will probably be a set of high lift camshafts which will Chris reckons will really make the new cylinder head come into its own! 👍
Either way 'Esther' is now a perfect road car with awesome drivability down low and plenty of power whenever I need it, and I will be enjoying driving her this summer for sure!
