HAPPY WEDNESDAY PEOPLE!!! 😃
Me and my beautiful girlfriend Cat will be going back to Northern Ireland in August for an AWESOME event called The Summit Show & Run @thesummitrun. The event is organised once a year by my friend Padraig Murphy and his friends and family. It aims to raise money for the local Parkinson Disease charity. This is a cause close to Padraig's family's heart because Padraig himself has been living with the disease for 17 years now (although you would hardly know because he is such a positive, motivated person)
The show takes place on Saturday 6th August 2022 @ The Knockninny Country House and Marina, Knockninny Quay Derrylin, Enniskillen BT92 9JU Northern Ireland. The run takes place the next day (Sunday 7th) and it takes us over the mountains and through some EPIC countryside roads, with a few stops on the way for food, chat and brilliant phot opportunities.
I attended last year for the first time and it was hands down the best car event I have ever been to, with awesome cars, awesome people and the world famous friendly Irish hospitality. . . . . . . . and Guinness! 😃
I think it would be great if some of you guys could come with us this year. Imagine how cool it would be to have a whole convoy of us driving over there from England! 👍
We will be catching a Stenna Line ferry from Liverpool Birkenhead at 10.30pm on 4th August which will land in Belfast at 6.30am the next morning. Then its just a 2 hour drive to County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland
I will be staying in The Knockninny Country House and Marina (the location of the show) and I'll be checking out on Thursday 11th.
There may be other rooms still available there but if not there are other hotels in nearby. I am not too familiar with the area but Google Maps is a great tool to find out how close the other hotels are to The Knockninny Country House and Marina. before you book.
The registration for The Summit Show & Run opens this weekend so if you would like to join us on this adventure now is the time to start enquiring about hotels and ferries! 👍
